I work on 5 main areas. Pick one, pick a few, or let’s build something bespoke that fits what you need. Everything is designed with you.
Anti-oppression/EDI is at the core of everything I do, so you won't see it as a standalone offer because it will be woven into anything I work on.
1. Organisational design, development, culture and strategy - with anti-oppression/EDI at the core
Organisational design and development, culture audits, strategic planning - I help you see the whole system clearly, and figure out what to change (and what to keep). That might mean a full-scale transformation, or something smaller. It could be aligning your structure with your mission, or seeing your organisation through a feminist, anti-racist or disability justice lens - and then acting on what you find. I will help you feel supported, courageous and clear in whatever you want to achieve.
2. People" or Ops work - including policy writing
If it usually sits with HR/People or ops, I probably do it. Designing and/or running your recruitment processes, writing your organisational policies so that they're aligned with your values and mission, or navigating tough processes with compassion, balancing legal realities with your values. I can drop in for a short piece of work, or slot in as part of your team for a while.
I don’t love the term “HR.” But I love the people who keep organisations human.
3. Facilitation & Group Process Design
Workshops, away days, team retreats, strategy sessions, or just that meeting you know needs to go well. I’ll help you design and run spaces that move things forward. That might mean clarity, alignment, momentum. Or holding space for conflict - because avoidance isn’t always care, and good strategy and culture often requires the big conversations (this piece explains why)
4. Campaigning and organising strategy and comms
I have a knack for simplifying complex ideas - policy, strategy, research - into clear, compelling and simple messaging. I think deeply about inclusive and accessible language. I can also work with you on campaign or organising strategy to keep you focused on what it takes to win, have impact and build power in the long term. Or help you design and execute shorter term "quick and dirty" campaign or organising tactics in moments of the whirlwind.
5. Evaluation and reflection
I draw on my psychotherapy training as well as many years of experience facilitating, mediating and holding space to do two things. I facilitate group reflection at the end of campaigns, projects or key milestones to make sense of what’s happened and help you build in learning. And provide one-to-one sessions to help you recover, reflect and regroup. It's permission to breathe and an antidote to burnout.
Not sure what you need yet? Get in touch! I'm always happy to help you explore and work that out too.
What I offer
I try to bring integrity, curiosity and playfulness to everything I do, because this work is serious, but it can be joyful too.
Everything I do is collaborative - no dropping in with a pre-baked model and a slide deck full of buzzwords. I listen, ask questions, get curious about what’s really going on, and help you make decisions that are clear, strategic and rooted in your values.
You can work with me in a few ways:
As a consultant on standalone pieces of work. We'll chat through what you need and I'll go away and do it!
As a strategic advisor on retainer. I can offer ongoing advice over short or long periods, review documents, join meetings or meet individually to help you think things through
As a temporary team member. When you just need an extra pair of hands I can slot in and make things happen
As a facilitator. Does what it says on the tin. I can hold space for you and your team
For a one hour "ask me anything" session. Book for an hour to help you get unstuck, gut-check something or if there's something you think I'll know the answer to
